In which I explain “I want to go to there”…

Yes, I know that “I want to go to there” is not grammatically correct. No, I do not want to fix it. I stole the phrase from Tina Fey who borrowed it from her daughter. Fey says when her three-year-old daughter saw a commercial for Disneyland, her eyes glossed over and she said “I want to go to there.” So, Fey wrote it into her Emmy-winning show 30 Rock:

When I think about Prague or Thailand…the same thing happens to me.

  1. Love this! So many people are confused about the saying. I knew it was from 30 rock but didn’t know the back story!
