I love looking at blogs this time of year because there are so many treasures to be found on bloggers’ annual gift guides. There are guides for house decor, little munchkins, ladies fashion, bargain finds, and everything travel. I didn’t think I had much to bring to an already overstocked space…but there is one niche I’ve come to know over the past year: Switzerland. Alors, here is my guide to buying Swiss gifts for the holiday season.
Favarger Swiss Chocolate–the most interesting flavors in the prettiest wrapping
A design-forward coffee table book on all things Swiss
A replica of the original Swiss Army Blanket–for chilly nights
Swatch’s Adelboden Watch for a lumberjack look
Seriously cute winter socks from J. Crew
A modern take on the classic cuckoo clock
Le Creuset’s Alpine Fondue Pot
Or a wheel of raclette cheese if that’s more your style
An at-home pretzel maker (mustard not included!)
A sweet potted edelweiss–the official flower of Switzerland
Wooden toys to teach the little ones the national love of cows
Happy shopping this week!
I got those little cows and a Bernese mountain dog for each of the triplets this year for their birthday and they were a hit! I think they are so precious and simple, and since they are wood, hopefully they’ll last a long time. Eyeing that blanket for my dad…
